Yuletide hazards

A Family Christmas

Christmas is a time for families to come together and yet it is the strain of this that leads many to put ‘divorce’ at the top of their New Years Resolution list.

It’s not a co-incidence that it is following a period of festivity that divorce lawyers are at their very busiest. The build-up to Christmas can be financially and emotionally testing. If there are problems at home then Christmas can be a recipe for disaster.

The recipe usually goes along these line : Take an average person then slowly drain money from them. Next marinade them in alcohol and force them to spend hours with people they’d either rather not see (the tedious in-law) or shouldn’t see whilst in this emotionally charged state (the good-looking work colleague they’ve always fancied). If you repeat this over a 3-4 week period you’ll find at least one stuffed turkey who needs to find a lawyer – pronto!

Of course Yuletide can be a very happy occasion but if things are not going right it’s the time when the cracks get forced open and the ship starts to sink.

We thoroughly recommend that if there is a crack in your ship that you apply caution over the hazardous festive season – leave the office party early and don’t drink too much to counter nervousness or general boredom.

We’d rather you didn’t have to start the New Year by seeking legal advice but if you do then LawyerPronto can make the experience a little easier to bear by finding you the right legal advice quickly and efficiently.
